With modern technical efficiencies and good old German know-how, the Hofner 7 model is a great step-up violin that uses fully solid, lightly-flamed maple and aged spruce and a shaded golden-brown spirit varnish. This crisp, clean modern look is a refreshing alternative for some customers to more heavy "antiquing." Includes ebony pegs and end button, Despiau ''C'' level French bridge, tailpiece , chinrest, and Thomastik Dominant A, D, & G strings with Pirastro Gold Label E (loop end).

Karl Höfner started the company in 1887 in Schönbach, which was the European center of its day for musical instrument production. Over the coming decades, Höfner's business grew to meet global demands, earning a reputation for high-quality craftsmanship and economically-efficient working methods. Now located at Hagenau in Bavaria, Höfner uses the traditional methods of violinmaking. 4/4 size.
